We are at the very beginning of the Spring Real Estate Market, historically the busiest time of year for Real Estate Professionals. Sellers have been preparing their homes, making them "show-ready" for months. Buyers are anxious for new inventory and want to take advantage of the incredibly low interest rates. So how will we continue to serve our clients this Spring amid the challenges presented by COVID-19?
First and foremost, we are obviously following any recommendations made by the CDC, the National Association of Realtors, as well as local and state authorities. Social distancing, hand washing, sanitizing surfaces, etc. It is our number one priority to keep myself, my family and my clients safe!
Whenever possible, we will conduct business remotely. This is not an uncommon practice among professionals involved throughout a real estate transaction. Clients can review and e-sign contracts from anywhere. Attorneys and Mortgage Professionals can phone or video conference with their clients.
Here are some of the tools (none of them new) that we will leverage to Market, Show and Successfully Sell homes in the weeks and months ahead.
- Virtual Tours & VR Technology – At R2M Realty, Inc. we have invested in the technology to take High Definition Photos and Produce Virtual Reality Tours of the homes we sell. This is something we have been doing for several years. It allows Buyers to do a virtual walkthrough of a home on their phone, tablet or computer. - Live Property Tours via FaceTime – Again, something we have been offering to our clients for years and will become more common in the weeks ahead. Buyers don't have to go anywhere. We will go to the property and FaceTime with them live as we walk through the house and grounds. This is especially helpful for buyers who are relocating to the area or couples who both work outside the home and have a hard time coordinating schedules during the week.
- Virtual Open House via Facebook LIVE– Some Sellers might be concerned about a large number of people coming through their home which is completely understandable. We are able to host a Virtual Open House via Facebook Live with a tablet and a good Wi-Fi connection. For example, this Sunday we will be hosting a Traditional Open House at 89 Washington Ave in Tappan from 1-3 PM. Simultaneously, we will be hosting a Virtual Open House for anyone unable to be there in person. Just pop into the Facebook Live Event any time between 12 Noon and 3 PM and we will show you around.
- Remote Home Valuation – Curious to know what the value of your home is? We can schedule a time to meet virtually using FaceTime or some other Video Conferencing tool and you can give me the grand tour of your home remotely. This will allow me to obtain the details necessary to prepare a comprehensive & complimentary Home Valuation Report.
We anticipate a lot of change and disruption to our lives in the weeks and possibly months ahead. However, as Real Estate Professionals, we are experienced and well equipped to continue assisting our clients with both buying and selling homes (as well as rentals and investment properties.)
