This year, communities across the county are coming together not only to celebrate Independence Day, but also to commemorate America's 250th Birthday with fireworks, parades, concerts, historical reenactments, drone shows, festivals, and family-friendly activities. Many communities are hosting expanded celebrations in honor of this historic milestone.

Haverstraw

One of the things I love most about living in Rockland County is that every community celebrates in its own unique way. Whether you enjoy small-town parades, spectacular fireworks, live music, Revolutionary War history, or family festivals, there's something happening just minutes from home.

This year feels especially meaningful as we celebrate 250 years of American independence. It's a wonderful reminder of the history that surrounds us—particularly here in Rockland County, where so many Revolutionary War landmarks remain part of our everyday landscape.
